Continual Investment in Innovation Pays Off as EnerGov Positions for Record 1st Quarter

Over the course of 2010, EnerGov increased its R&D investment strategy by nearly 35% to ensure talented development resources were ramped up and available to continually enhance the company's technology offering. Millions of dollars have been invested in innovation in an effort to reinforce EnerGov's commitment of providing a leading-edge contemporary government automation platform.

This continual heavy investment and commitment is paying off as despite difficult economic conditions, EnerGov has positioned itself for a record first quarter in 2011 as the company has experienced an influx of projects in contract phase and is projecting a nearly 60% increase from the company's 2010 first quarter earnings.

"Throughout 2010 we witnessed the culmination of nearly a decade of specialized industry experience, employee commitment and innovative research and development with the release of the EnerGov 9 Enterprise Server™ platform.  We are excited about our position, confident in this platform, and committed to remaining the industry leader in technology and innovation" says Jonathan Fife, EnerGov's Chief Technology Officer.

Market evaluations of EnerGov's commercial software platform, EnerGov 9 Enterprise Server™ have been very positive as the public sector has time and time again regarded the EnerGov platform as an all around "Industry's best". During a recent evaluation, a leading municipal agency spent nearly a year researching and drafting an evaluation process that examined over 900 unique feature and business process sets - these features were subsequently presented during an onsite demonstration workshop to the agency where EnerGov was overwhelming selected as having the best technology, edging out the other competing vendor technology offerings by a 13% (2nd place vendor) and 25% (3rd place vendor) margin.

A few of the projects set to kickoff in Q1 2011 include the Providence of British Columbia (3rd largest Canadian providence / 4.5 million population), two state capitol governments, Sarasota County, FL (over 450 users) and Cedar Rapids, IA (2nd largest city in state), with enterprising agency contracts ranging in size from $600k to over $3.5 million.

In an effort to provide state-of-the-art software to Government agencies of all size; not just large enterprising entities, EnerGov has recently established a Small Government Licensing Agreement (SGLA) for agencies with populations less than 50,000. Small government agencies qualify to subscribe to the EnerGov 9 Enterprise Server software and a full range of framework enabling extensions within this special licensing agreement. The licensing agreement allows smaller government agencies to "subscribe" to EnerGov's browser-based software enabling much lower up-front (year 1) software licensing costs.
